Operating Conditions for Electric Motors

1 Environmental Conditions for Motor Operation

1.1 Ambient air temperature varies seasonally, generally not exceeding -15 to +35°C.

1.2 Altitude does not exceed 1000 meters.

1.3 Maximum relative humidity of ambient air does not exceed 95% (at a temperature of +25°C).

2 Electrical Operating Conditions for Motors

2.1 Rated frequency: 50Hz.

2.2 Rated voltage: 380, 660, 1140, 380/660, or 660/1140V. Full-voltage direct starting is permitted.

2.3 Motor rating is continuous duty, with duty type S1.

2.4 The motor stator windings employ an F-class insulation system or an H-class insulation system. The stator winding temperature rise (resistance method) is rated at 85K (for frame size 315L with 2 or 4 poles, a rating of 105K is permitted).

Structural Description

1 The motor enclosure has an IP55 protection rating.

2. The motor structure and mounting type are IMB3 or IMB5.

3. Main housing material: The frame is constructed from steel plate, providing high impact and collision resistance. All other housing components are made from gray cast iron with a minimum grade of HT250.

4. The motor features a cylindrical shaft extension at one end, driven via an elastic coupling or spur gear.

5. The motor terminal box is located at the top of the frame. Cable entry is via rubber-sheathed cable. The terminal box contains three or six terminals, suitable for single or dual voltage. Terminal box cable entries are available as single-entry (frame sizes H132–315) or dual-entry (frame sizes H250–315) for connecting incoming cables. If a motor with a dual-entry junction box is used with a single-entry cable, the unused entry must be sealed by inserting a metal plug into its seal ring. Apply metal washers no less than 2mm thick on both sides of the seal ring, then secure the junction box cover tightly over the seal ring to maintain explosion-proof integrity. An additional copper grounding screw or galvanized steel bolt is provided inside the junction box for grounding purposes.
